- Opportunity with Large Queensland Government Client
- 9-Month Contract + Intended Extension | Brisbane CBD Office | 1 day WFH
Looking for a results-driven Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience to play a critical role in the team working closely with internal technical teams, application end users and external implementation partner technical resources, to ensure that the project delivers the project scope.

Key Skills and Abilities
- report directly to the Project Manager (the Senior BA has no direct reports)
- have a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Business Analyst
- ideally have experience working in Government departments
- be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
- have the proven ability to work in a fast-paced iterative project delivery environment
- be a clear and logical thinker
- be able to work alone but also as part of a team
- be an excellent communicator with stakeholders up to executive level
- have excellent written skills
- have experience of large system replacement or modernisation projects
- have experience working with software vendors
- have experience across the whole project lifecycle
- have experience of Agile delivery ideally using Azure DevOps for the management of requirements and the software development cycle.
- have proven experience of process modelling in BPMN and modelling tools
- have proven experience in building relationships with Subject Matter Experts and technical resources
- be exposed to sensitive data and will be expected to comply with procedural and legislative requirements about access and disclosure of information
- be expected to work in the office 4 days per week, with 1 day work from home
You will demonstrate the following key skills and capabilities in this role:
- Work collaboratively with and develop strong working relationships with project team members.
- Be the bridge between front line business users (Subject Matter Experts), internal developers and the implementation partner technical resources, to ensure that requirements are clearly understood, and the end product is delivered according to the agreed requirements and acceptance criteria
- Work in an "agile like" delivery squad, defining user stories and acceptance criteria
- Trace business requirements through to delivered products, test plans and results
- Facilitate workshops with clear agendas and required outcomes
- Present solution outcomes to key stakeholders
- Develop process models using BPMN
- Produce good quality documentation and other artefacts as required
- Evaluate the impacts of any proposed scope changes
- Support the Project Manager in the identification and mitigation of risks and issues
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager
- Provide support and advice during all testing phases
- Provide support and advice to the Change Management and Training functions
- Provide support and advice to the business helpdesk function in the lead up to and following system go-live, to help diagnose and resolve issues.
- Assist with any other project related queries or tasks as directed
8 Hours/day - 40 Hour working week.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal History Check.
