UGL’s Fuels and Energy East business is seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) to provide safe, reliable and efficient technical expertise to the Maintenance and Projects Teams as well as coordinating engineering support for our client’s terminal and refining operations throughout the East Australia Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the E&I maintenance program
  • Provide a focal point for all E&I based queries for associated subcontractors / suppliers for assigned projects and tasks
  • Provide engineering advice for subcontractors / suppliers
  • Serve as the team's primary representative in client interactions
  • Track performance of maintenance key metrics and take action to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the team is adhering to the agreed schedule, budget, quality and safety standards


About You

  • Tertiary Engineering Qualifications as well as RPEQ/CPEng Accreditation (bonus) or willingness to work towards these accreditations.
  • 5+ years’ industry experience in engineering, maintenance and commissioning for major resources sites within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries.
  • Experience with / exposure to RSLogix, Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley/Schneider PLC, Citect, Tank Gauging and interfacing to instrument and control systems using a variety of communication protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet/IP.
  • Knowledge of Australian codes and standards, good engineering practice and the applicable statutory requirements with respect to Electrical systems in hazardous environments and Instrumentation systems
  • Knowledge and exposure to PLC, SCADA, tank inventory and network systems.
  • Efficient use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Effective verbal and written communication capability.
