With flexible hybrid working arrangements available in Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, or remotely (subject to approval), you will enjoy the benefits of a workplace that prioritises work-life balance and inclusivity. As a key member of the Enterprise Change Management Office, you will be empowered to make meaningful contributions to large-scale projects that have a lasting impact on the community. If you are passionate about driving positive change and thrive in environments where your interpersonal skills and analytical abilities are valued, this is the perfect next step in your career.

  • Be part of a major transformation initiative with real-world impact, supporting the delivery of essential public services through innovative business process improvements and technology upgrades.
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working options across multiple locations, including the possibility of remote work, allowing you to tailor your work arrangements to suit your lifestyle and personal commitments.
  • Join a collaborative and inclusive team environment where your expertise in stakeholder engagement, change management, and business analysis will be recognised and nurtured for ongoing professional development.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your ability to connect with people and translate complex information into actionable insights is highly valued. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve engaging with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs, concerns, and aspirations regarding upcoming changes. You will play an instrumental role in bridging gaps between technical teams delivering new solutions and business units adapting to these innovations. By producing high-quality documentation—ranging from detailed impact assessments to user-friendly guides—you will help ensure everyone affected by change feels informed, supported, and motivated. Success in this position requires not only strong analytical skills but also genuine empathy for others’ perspectives; your efforts will directly contribute to building trust across teams while facilitating smooth transitions during periods of significant organisational evolution.

  • Work closely with impacted business groups to understand current systems and processes, assess proposed changes, and evaluate their effects on various stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks with key stakeholders to foster an environment that supports integrated and tailored change management activities aligned with project needs.
  • Provide comprehensive change management support by ensuring project teams understand the approach being taken and the benefits it delivers for all involved parties.
  • Assist in developing a wide range of change and communication artefacts such as change management plans, impact assessments, stakeholder mapping documents, procedures, knowledge resources, and other deliverables as required.
  • Collaborate with diverse internal teams to ensure seamless integration of change initiatives into existing business operations while maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Support the planning and execution of organisational change activities by acting as a conduit between technical delivery teams and business units.
  • Contribute to the creation of clear documentation that communicates complex changes in an accessible manner for audiences at all levels.
  • Engage proactively with colleagues across departments to identify potential challenges early on and develop strategies for effective resolution.
  • Participate actively in meetings, workshops, and training sessions designed to build sustainable change management capability throughout the organisation.
  • Leverage insights from data analysis tools where appropriate to inform decision-making processes related to change implementation.

What You Bring

To excel as a Senior Business Analyst in this transformative setting, you will bring substantial experience guiding organisations through significant periods of change. Your background should include hands-on involvement in both planning and executing structured change management activities—ideally within complex environments where adaptability is crucial. You possess exceptional interpersonal skills that allow you to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels while remaining sensitive to their unique perspectives. Your ability to communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—ensures that even intricate concepts are easily understood by those around you. Familiarity with established frameworks such as ADKAR or Prosci will serve you well here; however, what truly sets you apart is your commitment to fostering positive relationships built on trust and mutual respect. Experience working within Agile settings or using analytical tools like Power BI would further enhance your contribution but are not prerequisites. Above all else, your empathetic approach ensures that every individual impacted by organisational changes feels heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing end-to-end organisational change by informing, engaging, and motivating employees through periods of transition.
  • Proven track record supporting complex change initiatives within large-scale programmes or projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Hands-on approach when executing change strategies and deliverables, ensuring practical outcomes are achieved efficiently.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, and professional engagement across diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities enabling you to establish trust with stakeholders from varied backgrounds.
  • Experience utilising industry-recognised change methodologies such as ADKAR or Prosci is highly regarded but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of Agile project methodologies or previous involvement in Agile-driven environments is desirable for this role.
  • Analytical skills including familiarity with data visualisation tools like Power BI would be advantageous though not essential for success.
  • Excellent written communication skills demonstrated through preparation of clear reports, plans, presentations, or guidance materials tailored for different audiences.
