We’re looking for a compassionate and organised Medical Secretary to join our team on a casual basis. You’ll be the friendly face and calm voice that supports patients and their families during some of the most important moments of their lives. Working alongside our dedicated oncologists and haematologists, you’ll help ensure every patient’s journey is as smooth and supported as possible.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming patients and helping them feel at ease
- Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Answering calls and responding to enquiries with empathy and efficiency
- Preparing consulting rooms and supporting clinical teams
- Handling billing and Medicare/private health claims
- Keeping patient records accurate and up to date
- Being a vital part of a team that lives and breathes care, compassion, and excellence
- Previous experience in a medical or specialist secretary role
- Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and private health billing
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence using Word, Excel, and medical software
- A warm, professional approach and a genuine desire to help others
