About the role 

As a Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities (HSEC) Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver practical, people-focused outcomes within our Pilbara Operations. Acting as the central point of accountability for site based HSEC matters, you’ll play a vital role in shaping a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace. By guiding performance, strengthening internal and external partnerships, and embedding continuous improvement practices, you will help simplify processes and enhance compliance across the board. This opportunity is based on a Fly in Fly out (FIFO) or residential basis.

Reporting to General Manager HSEC & Operational Delivery, Key Responsibilities include;

  • Lead and develop a high-performing HSEC team, promoting a culture of respect, safety, and inclusion.
  • Act as the single point of contact and accountability for all HSEC-related matters within the operational site.
  • Implement and sustain health and safety systems, performance rituals, and risk controls to improve critical control effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with asset/divisional leadership teams and technical experts to ensure effective integration of HSEC principles in daily operations.
  • Engage with local communities and regulatory bodies to support effective issue resolution, long-term strategy execution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Use data-driven insights to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and influence management responses.
  • Contribute to the delivery of coaching and practical solutions that embed continuous improvement and promote safe work behaviours.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance, learnings, and compliance with statutory and company standards.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
  • Experience working across the mining, environment, health, or communities sectors, or similar regulated industries.
  • A practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple issues and priorities at any one time.
  • Sound knowledge of HSEC standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and the confidence to coach others to find better ways of working. #gts
