About the Role
As our Part-Time Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in processing and maintaining accurate payroll records for our team, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies. Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Timely and accurate payroll processing for full-time, part-time, casual staff, and contractors.
- Tax Compliance: Handle PAYG withholding, superannuation contributions, and other deductions in line with Australian tax laws.
- Leave Management: Maintain leave balances and process requests including annual, personal, and public holidays.
- Superannuation: Ensure accurate SG contributions and compliance.
- Reporting: Generate payroll reports including payslips and summaries for stakeholders.
- Employee Support: Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries efficiently.
- Compliance & Documentation: Stay up to date with relevant legislation (Fair Work, Modern Awards, etc.).
- Record Keeping: Securely maintain all payroll documentation.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide general support to the Payroll Manager as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Education: Certificate or qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll/tax legislation
- Proficiency in payroll software
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent time management
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Team player with the ability to work independently
Working Hours & Location
- Hours: Flexible part-time hours (approx. 16–24 hours per week). Days negotiable to suit the right candidate.
- Location: Primarily based at our Silverwater office, with occasional work-from-Pemulwuy arrangements.
