What this job involves:

JLL's Project and Development Services division is experiencing significant growth and seeks a skilled Program Manager to join our expanding Program Management Office (PMO). Reporting directly to the Senior Program Manager, as a key member of the PMO, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects for our Federal Government clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and support of all phases of Programs within your purview, from initial establishment through to benefits realisation. Your duties will encompass opportunity identification and analysis, client engagement, reporting, proposals development, obtaining client approvals, issues resolution, and managing the implementation of strategic and operational optimisation initiatives and compliance. This position requires strong coordination and leadership skills to encourage maximum contributions from all internal and external stakeholders and focus these efforts to maximise outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with JLL experts to develop options and recommendations for clients.
  • Engage with broader Project and Development Services team members to identify opportunities and synergies.
  • Define program objectives and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Engage with key client stakeholders and internal decision makers to gain buy-in to proposed strategies and implementation plans.
  • Prepare strong business cases to justify the proposed initiative and obtain client approvals.
  • Establish program governance and stakeholder engagement and proactively monitor and communicate effectively.
  • Ensure attention to details on all deliverables and the overall quality of final products positively represents JLL.
  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on capital works strategies aligned with their long-term goals.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and a positive client experience throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation, including overseeing the creation, review, and approval of all program-related contracts.
  • Coordinate and manage internal stakeholders within JLL and the broader account team to leverage expertise and ensure alignment with overall client strategy.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the program team.
  • Manage program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Champion best practices in project management and promote knowledge sharing within JLL.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in the capital works or Federal Government sector
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of government procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Experience in budget management and reporting

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS

A degree in a relevant Project or Construction Management related discipline or related field and ten (10) years of experience or a combination of formal education and experience in excess of twelve (12) years, seven of which must be related to Design, Construction, or Project Management.
