Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital
The Senior Physiotherapist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide senior clinical physiotherapy services to clients/patients. Ensures practice is in accordance with Australian Physiotherapy Association Code of Conduct and SJGHC policies and guidelines.
The Senior Physiotherapist is expected to work independently and demonstrate a depth of experience. The Senior Physiotherapist is expected to initiate and participate in teaching, training, research and quality activities, to supervise students and supervise and mentor junior caregivers.

The Position
- Provide high quality evidence based senior Physiotherapy services to patients/clients within the clinical specialty area/s including hydrotherapy where applicable.
- Provide physiotherapy assessment, intervention and evaluation at a senior practice level for complex and general caseload/s.
- Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues and internal/external customers.
- Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of patient feedback - satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities
- Ensure prioritisation and delegation of duties of Physiotherapy caseloads for self and supervised staff.
- Participate in evidence based clinical research activities, where applicable.
- Active participation in the multidisciplinary team including clinical meetings
- Document in the patient/client’s healthcare record in accordance with the SJGHC policies and procedure
- Maintain statistical data in accordance with departmental and professional clinical guidelines.
- Attend staff meetings and present at professional development sessions as required.
- Liaise with other staff and educate staff about patient care.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, staff and external health professionals and agencies to ensure quality patient management.
- Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required.

- Salary: $122,210 to $130,310 plus 11.5% superannuation
- 12 month fixed term, full time position
