The Business Intelligence Analyst will be instrumental in optimising and automating reporting, partnering with teams across the business to address data needs, and uncover insights that drive strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Extract and analyse data using SQL from multiple source systems.
- Perform advanced data analysis and reporting using Excel and Power BI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Design, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models.
- Ensure Power BI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
- Train and support end-users in Power BI usage and data visualisation.
- Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on business intelligence.
- Manage relationships with data and IT partners to ensure successful BI integration.
- Monitor and evaluate partner performance, providing feedback and improvements.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst demonstrating ability to operate multiple roles across data engineering to analyst.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data querying and manipulation.
- Experience in Power BI or other visualisation tools, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard creation.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
- Familiarisation or experience with ETL process, and ETL tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data analysis and visualisation.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with external partners or vendors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train and support users effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling or statistical analysis is a plus.
