Job Description

As the Area Culinary Coach, you will play a pivotal in improving and maintaining the GYG food operational excellence standards within each of your defined restaurants. As Area Culinary Coach you will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen health and safety standards are complied with in all restaurants. You will work with and support the Restaurant Manager and Senior Cooks in the recruitment, training, and development of all kitchen Cooks, including Cook training across the 3 restaurants, to ensure alignment to GYG Recipes and Standards.

Duties include working collaboratively with the Restaurant Group Manager, Restaurant Manager and Senior Cooks to deliver:

  • Quality Food - Ensure food safety and food quality executed to 100% and is always the highest priority for Cooks and Leaders within each restaurant.
  • People – Assist Restaurant Managers to hire and develop restaurant Cook teams, ensuring a full bench of Cooks is maintained and who live the GYG values – every day.
  • Work & Health Safety - 100% compliance with GYG Food Safety & WH&S requirements at all times, including training and coaching Cook teams
  • Continual Improvement - Support the Restaurant Management teams to continually develop and improve their food excellence standards and alignment to the GYG recipes and processes.

Our Restaurants are open 7 days a week and this role requires availability between the hours of 5am - 12am, specific days and shifts for the Area Culinary Coach will be discussed - this role is for 5 shifts per week, full-time.
