Join a passionate and collaborative team dedicated to protecting and enhancing biodiversity in the Hornsby Shire. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in biodiversity conservation planning and environmental management to make a meaningful impact on the local environment.
You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering strategies, plans, grants, and projects that support the conservation of our unique natural landscapes. Whether you're just starting your career or bringing years of experience, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow and contribute to sustainable environmental outcomes.

- Grade 7 – Emerging Environmental Professional
- Grade 8 – Early-Career Environmental Specialist
- Grade 9 – Experienced Environmental Planner
Note: A current Class C driver’s licence is required for all grades.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is either:
- A seasoned professional with deep expertise in biodiversity planning and environmental assessment, or
- A motivated and qualified early-career candidate eager to learn and grow in the role.
You Should Also Have
- Excellent technical and computer skills, particularly in flora and fauna identification and management
- The ability to work confidently in bushland environments and with community
- A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for environmental conservation
