Senior Software Developer

Our customer is reinventing the way Australia's biggest brands connect with customers. Now, they are looking for a Senior Software Developer who's ready to make their mark and grow into a future Tech Lead, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect role.

If you're the kind of developer who loves building real-world systems-not just writing code, but watching it light up screens, power devices, and transform user experiences-then this is your stage. You'll work at the intersection of hardware, software, and digital media, contributing to a platform that's scaling fast.

This is not a role for someone who wants to stay in their lane. We want builders, tinkerers, and architects of possibility.

You'll work across the full tech stack-from low-level systems to high-level front-end and infrastructure-to help deliver seamless media experiences.

You'll:

• Build and maintain robust, scalable software systems using Rust and modern JS frameworks like Mithril.js

• Work across Debian Linux, embedded systems, edge devices, and containers

• Shape our CMS and media infrastructure with tools like FFmpeg, PostgreSQL, and Apache Arrow

• Debug real-world problems spanning hardware and software

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to innovate and iterate rapidly
  
  

• Love working across the full stack-from front-end UI to low-level systems

• Bring deep experience in Rust and enjoy systems-level programming

• Are comfortable building in and around Linux environments

• Get a thrill out of seeing your code live on physical devices in the real world

• Have experience (or curiosity!) in retail media, adtech, or content platforms

• System Tools:
  LXC / Incus | VNC | Custom edge hardware
  
  

• Hands-on experience with embedded systems

• Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, or container orchestration
