Your Mission

MicroTau's mission is to improve the efficiency of the global aviation fleet, saving billions in fuel and megatonnes of CO2 every year. We need a full-time Operations Associate to support this mission by managing key deliverables, facilitating smooth communication, and helping implement process improvements that enhance overall efficiency. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone who is currently studying or a recent bachelor’s degree graduate. You will report to the Operations Manager.

What You Will Do

• Process Improvement: Support the implementation and analysis of process improvements across business functions including, human resources (HR), sales, and finance.
• Strategy Support: Participate in strategy development discussions and workshops.
• Admin & Documentation: Maintain and update company documents and records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
• IT Support: Provide first-line tech support and escalate issues to our external IT provider when required.
• Workplace Health & Safety: Support WH&S activities including audits, incident reporting, and safety communications.
• Facilities Coordination: Help manage day-to-day office needs – from chemical waste collection and maintenance coordination to kitchen restocking.

What Success Looks Like

• First Month: You’ve settled in, built strong relationships with the team, and developed a clear understanding of our operations. You’re confidently handling day-to-day responsibilities – from supplies to support requests – with minimal guidance.
• First Six Months: You’ve taken full ownership of operational workflows and proactively identified small but meaningful ways to improve internal efficiency. You’re dependable, responsible, and keep things running without needing reminders. The team trusts you to make things happen.
• First Year: You’ve become an integral part of the Operations Team. You’ve contributed to cross-functional initiatives, implemented improvements, and consistently demonstrated a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset when tackling challenges.

About You

• Currently studying or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a relevant field.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with others.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
• Analytical and eager to improve systems and processes.
• Bonus: You’ve had exposure to (or have an interest in) the start-up environment.
