Mondelēz has six manufacturing plants in Australia and this position plays a vital role at our Gourmet Food manufacturing site in Dandenong South. The plant makes one of the largest and diverse range of premium cracker products under one roof globally, our new state of the art production facility provides both the flexibility and scale to remain relevant with our important retail partners. Manufacturing brands such as Olina's Bakehouse, OB's Finest and Crispbic, Gourmet Food is fast becoming recognised as the ‘entertaining’ specialist.
We have an exciting opportunity for a HSE professional to join our Team, where you will collaborate and work with the site leadership team and other key stakeholders to implement site specific HSE initiatives to drive best practice, risk management and for creating a strong safety culture.
This role will assist in the effective management of early intervention and injury management program for both work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses and coordinating preventative health and wellness programs. You take pride in your work and will drive toward a culture of zero incidents and an optimum environmental footprint. HSE programs will be well implemented and meet the relevant standards and regulations in the Plant.

How You Will Contribute
You will:
- Assist with cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
- Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
- Some understanding of OHS Act, Regulations, and standards is advantageous
- Provide support in maintaining the State Self-insurance through the maintenance of Risk Management systems, preparation for Self-insurance audits and closing out corrective actions where required.
- Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
- Follow up on non-conformances and develop the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
- Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
- Support technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards/aspects assessments are conducted, the accident both caused by unsafe acts and conditions are reduced and energy and waste are driven down
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:
- Degree qualified in an applicable Science/Engineering/Supply Chain discipline preferred
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience in HSE role
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety is preferred but not essential
- Some experience in safety, and environmental technical standards is advantageous, especially within production or fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels
