About The Role
Are you a seasoned systems engineer ready to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of Telco infrastructure at AGL? We’re looking for a Telco Systems Lead to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in delivering robust, secure, and scalable IT services across our Telco network.
About The Role
As the Telco Systems Lead, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that powers AGL’s Telco services. You’ll lead a team of engineers, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions across compute systems, virtualisation, cloud environments, and cybersecurity.

As the Telco Systems Lead, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that powers AGL’s Telco services. You’ll lead a team of engineers, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions across compute systems, virtualisation, cloud environments, and cybersecurity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of Telco infrastructure systems.
- Deliver innovative solutions that integrate legacy and modern technologies.
- Oversee physical hardware deployments and server management.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to uplift Telco systems security.
- Manage change and incident response processes with minimal disruption.
- Maintain documentation and report on system performance metrics.
- 7+ years’ experience in IT administration or engineering roles.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Windows systems and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, BASH).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), SANs, firewalls, and backup/recovery solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Systems or Network Engineering.
