About The Role

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. As a Water Industry Trainee, you will:

  • Learn to operate a variety of water treatment plants using different technologies to deliver safe, high-quality drinking water to the community.
  • Assist with monitoring, sampling, and reporting on surface water quality, dam safety, algae management, and environmental data collection.
  • Conduct plant and asset inspections, calibrations, and routine maintenance aligned with safety and compliance standards.
  • Use digital tools such as WIMS and other industry-specific software to track performance and reporting.
  • Travel across the region to maintain critical water infrastructure, using a company vehicle for daily duties.
