CENTRE KITCHEN HAND / CENTRE FLOAT

About Us:
At Little World Early Learning in Worongary, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. We believe that a healthy meal is vital for their growth and well-being, and we are looking for a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our team in supporting our daily meal preparation and food service for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals that are brought onto site by Kids Gourmet Food.

• Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and in good working order.

• Support with setting up and serving meals in a timely and organised manner.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and storage areas.

• Help with inventory management, including checking food supplies and restocking as needed.

• Assist in maintaining food safety and health regulations in accordance with local guidelines.

• Ensure children’s dietary restrictions and allergies are taken into account when serving and preapring meals.

• Assist with washing dishes, trays, and utensils and keep the kitchen organised.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not essential.

• A genuine interest in working in a child care setting and supporting the needs of children.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

• A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

• Current Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain one).

• Cert III in Children's Services or studying towards
