About the role
AGL's Gas & Renewables unit have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer - Asset Strategy in the Energy Assets Team.
You will be responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of the Asset Management framework, delivering assets' operational and financial objectives.
You will provide a strategic overview of the Gas & Renewables portfolio and requires coordination of the Asset Services, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams within Renewables to lead the asset strategy, capex planning, capex budget aligned with asset risk management activities.
Be a part of this team, helping to support and transform renewable energy assets.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining Gas & Renewables Whole of Life (WOL) Plans, and Asset Management Plans aligned with Asset Management Strategies and the requirements of the business procedures in accordance with ISO 55000.
- Coordinating the review and development of the 5-year capital budgets in the Project Risk Ranking Tool (PRRT) in line with the business planning timeline.
- Ensuring asset strategy and asset management plans comply with all relevant industry and environmental legislation and regulations including maintenance of the generator performance standard compliance requirements.
- Complying with risk management frameworks and standards, as well as reviewing asset risk registers and implementing effective risk management plans with control measures.
- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are communicated and adhered to while meeting AGL's policies and standards for HSE management.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline as well as a Chartered Professional Engineer with previous power generation, renewables or equivalent large-scale industries experience is essential.
- A strong understanding of asset management principles supported by a qualification in ISO55000 is highly desired coupled with both financial and risk management.
- Understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and current regulatory environment is preferred.
- Experience in effective team collaboration including, management skills, coaching, mentoring and strong technical leadership.
- Strong commercial acumen, business planning, change management and process improvement skills as well as analytical and conceptual skills.
- Understanding of reliability framework, standards, and techniques.
- Proven interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills that can be used across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
