Senior Commercial Analyst

An established and high-performing national group is seeking a commercially astute Senior Commercial Analyst to join their commercial finance team supporting operations across a dynamic, multi-site food production business. This influential role plays a critical part in financial planning, commercial strategy, and operational performance across the food supply chain.

Working closely with senior leaders in finance, operations, and sustainability, you will provide insights that drive decisions, margin improvement, and future investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic and financial analysis to support investment decisions
• Develop detailed financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and capital planning
• Partner with operational, sustainability, and procurement teams to improve business performance
• Evaluate business cases for capital expenditure and operational initiatives
• Provide critical insights and commentary on product costings, value chain performance, and risk exposure
• Support sustainability and ESG-related reporting, KPI development, and return on investment modelling
• Assist with stakeholder reporting, including executive and board-level presentations
  
  

As the successful candidate, you will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, or Business, with strong financial modelling and commercial analysis capability
• Demonstrated experience in complex, product-based businesses - ideally in food, manufacturing, or FMCG
• Exceptional skills in Excel and data analysis tools
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect data with real-world business outcomes
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership
• A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in food and sustainability
