We have an exciting opportunity for a high performing Associate to join our Brisbane Projects & Construction team working with Ren Niemann. Our Projects & Construction practice is one of the most highly regarded practices in the market and this is a unique opportunity to join a team that presents exciting potential for career advancement and significant development opportunities. This role would have a primary focus on back-end construction matters but the opportunity to work on front end matters also.
The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows;
Responsibilities
- Assist contractors, principals and government clients on a range of back end matters
- Prepare court documents, including documents for evidence, discovery, and expert and barrister briefs
- Liaise with clients and assist in negotiations
- Provide mentoring and supervision to Graduates, Paralegals and Clerks
- Assist with business development and marketing initiatives
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-year PQE gained within a construction or projects practice
- Demonstrated experience managing a range of back end construction matters
- Strong client liaison skills
- Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
- Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously
