Patent Attorney

It's an exciting time to work with our clients. We have a rare opportunity for a qualified Patent Attorney to join our client. Working in one of the best technical Life Sciences IP groups in the country, with strong ties to academic and industry groups, you will work directly with the Group Principals to service and grow the Life Sciences practice.

The Role Will Include

• drafting and filing patent applications for Australian and overseas clients
• providing advice to local, national and an international client base;
• prosecution of Australian New Zealand and foreign-originating patent applications;
• administering and managing the patent portfolios of Australian and overseas clients;
• liaising with clients and Foreign Associates;
• preparation of Freedom to Operate Opinions;
• conducting international patent and prior art searches; and
• cultivating and extending your own individual client network.
  
  

The Successful Candidate Will

• be based in Perth;
• hold a relevant tertiary qualification in biotechnology or a related area;
• be registered as a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney in Australia or New Zealand; and
• have at least three years' experience in practice; and
• be a confident and capable communicator.
