The opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager Strategy, the Senior Strategy Analyst plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our organisation in the South-East Queensland water sector. This role will directly contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of sector-wide trends and our corporate strategies to ensure long-term sustainability, operational excellence in service of our community’s needs.
Operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the Senior Strategy Analyst is accountable for the facilitation and production of high-quality, insightful corporate strategy outputs. Working closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders, the Senior Strategy Analyst will synthesise a range of information sources into strategic insights and support evidence-based decision-making across the business.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate it in a clear and compelling way
- Demonstrated experience in strategy, policy analysis, or business planning—ideally within the utilities, water, infrastructure, or public sectors.
- Proven ability to synthesise diverse information into coherent insights and recommendations.
- Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
- Familiarity with strategic planning methodologies or frameworks (e.g. Balanced Scorecard, PESTLE, SWOT).
