About Us

Baby Bunting isn't just Australia's largest nursery specialty retailer – we're a fast-growing business home to some of the biggest brands in the baby industry.

Our mission? To support and inspire confident parenting from newborn to toddler. We're constantly adapting, innovating, and raising the bar to provide the best experience for families.

Location: Dandenong South Store Support Office, with travel to store sites as needed

Full-time, Permanent

Baby Bunting is Australia's largest nursery specialty retailer, but we're much more than that. We're a growing community dedicated to supporting parents through every step of their journey. Our purpose? To share in the joy and provide support through the challenges of raising little ones by empowering parents to make the best choices for their families.

Are you a natural organiser with a knack for juggling multiple projects? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Baby Bunting is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of our store openings and refurbishments across Australia and New Zealand.

Why This Role Matters

We’re growing fast. With plans to expand from 75 to 110 stores, we’re entering our most accelerated growth phase since opening our first store in Balwyn back in 1970. We're introducing smaller-format sites to reach even more families and rolling out our “Store of the Future” concept, showcased in our flagship Maribyrnong store. To support this exciting expansion, we’re significantly growing our Store Development team with nine newly created roles. Each role will play a hands-on part in transforming our store network to better support new parents across Australia and New Zealand.

Like what you hear so far? Here’s what’s ahead of you:

  • Coordinating multiple store development projects, from brand-new builds to strategic refurbishments
  • Supporting project planning, scheduling, and tracking of key milestones and budgets
  • Managing documentation such as agendas, reports, drawings, permits, contracts and registers
  • Liaising with internal teams, external contractors, centre management and vendors
  • Supporting quality assurance and assisting with risk identification and resolution
  • Ensuring regular, clear communication across all stakeholders to maintain project momentum

Requirements

If you’ve gotten this far, then you’re up for the challenge. I’m not going to give you the usual laundry list of requirements, but this stuff is pretty much essential:

  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, ideally in retail, construction or property
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, you love a checklist!
  • Willingness to travel to store locations across ANZ during key delivery phases

It would be nice, but not essential, if you also come with:

  • Experience using project management tools or software
  • Familiarity with retail fit-outs or working with external vendors and contractors

Please note;

  • Every employer in Australia has the obligation to ensure that employees have the relevant working rights. All successful applicants will need to undergo a Right to Work check.
  • Due to the intimate and personal nature of our work, successful applicants will also need to undergo a National Police Criminal History check.
