A key strategic role as part of a leading global consultancy, responsible for supporting strategic pursuits within the RPS Advisory and Project Management team. You will work with the National Pursuits and Bids Manager and other key business leaders in shaping and winning work to position RPS as market leaders in our selected markets.This role as a strong focus on the identification and development of system, tools and processes to optimise the pursuits and bids efficiencies. This will include the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), SharePoint, Websites and other technology.

  • Supporting the National Pursuit & Bid Manager as a senior member of the team.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve functionality of the Pursuit & Bid process using appropriate technology including AI, SharePoint and Websites.
  • Pro-actively seeking on-going improvements and efficiencies in all activities, focusing on increasing efficiency.
  • Supports major panel engagement strategies and strategic bids.
  • Support General Managers with training staff on bid management.
  • Deploys the necessary skills and resources as needed to support bidding activity and strategic pursuits.
  • Coordinates the materials to support business development, including project case studies, project summaries and CVs.
  • Proactively communicates and works with the business units and broader business development and marketing team on joint initiatives.
  • Contributes to brand activities including award submissions and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Interfaces with Marketing team to support brand awareness and communication of our capability.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in business, marketing or communications (preferred not essential).
  • Strong technical experience in developing Artificial Intelligence tools, SharePoint, websites and other technology platforms.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pursuits and bids and/or business development, preferably within a large professional services/consulting environment.
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certified Practitioner with an aim to achieve Bid/Proposal Professional Certification (preferred not essential).
  • Research and market analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing strategic business development and client relationship management plans.
  • Demonstrate high levels of initiative and be able to work autonomously with little direction.
  • Experience in fostering relationships and in engaging and managing internal stakeholders. A pro-active, strategic and lateral thinker that demonstrates initiative.
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work in teams or individually.
  • Ability to co-ordinate requirements across a number of business units, intrastate and interstate.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy including but not limited to, MS Office suite of products including Office365, exposure to graphic design software along with ability to navigate a number of procurement/tender portals.
