About The Role
Join MYOB as a Tax Accountant and play a key role in shaping our success! You’ll provide critical GST, FBT, withholding tax, and income tax expertise to support our Senior Tax Manager and collaborators, while driving compliance, efficiency, and innovation across the business.
As a proactive teammate in our finance function, you’ll ensure tax reporting accuracy, and process improvements that promote robust tax governance and informed decision-making. If you’re passionate about making an impact with your tax knowledge, we’d love to hear from you!
Please note, this is a 12month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to extend.

About The Role

What Will Keep You Busy...
- Manage end-to-end GST compliance across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy in reporting and efficient processes
- Perform regular FBT analysis throughout the year, for Australia and New Zealand, including building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather and critically analyse relevant data
- Assist with income tax compliance, including tax provisioning and preparation of tax returns, and perform tax effect accounting
- Maintain and enhance the tax governance framework, including policies, procedures, and tax controls testing
- Support new ERP implementation and provide continual process improvements
- Proven experience in a chartered accounting or corporate environment, with a strong focus on corporate tax
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in tax compliance, tax effect accounting, tax consolidations
- Understanding of tax legislation and application of the rules
- Understanding tax compliance reporting and systems
- Tech-savvy with advanced skills in Excel, Word, SharePoint, and familiarity with tax software (ideally CCH Integrator)
- Distinguished communication and project management skills, along with strong attention to details, and a positive, can-do attitude that excels both independently and within a team
