Position Purpose
A key factor of APMs success is the ability to place injured or disabled jobseekers into sustainable employment. The Employment Placement Manager (EPM) role within the APM WorkCare team has a key focus on securing new employer placements via job brokerage and to represent APM in the employer market.

Position Purpose

The Employment Placement Manager (EPM) role within the APM WorkCare team has a key focus on securing new employer placements via job brokerage and to represent APM in the employer market.
In This Role, You Will
- Effectively communicate and interact with people across cultures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support identification of clients who are ‘job ready’ and suitable for placement.
- Undertake Client meetings to create individual intervention plans to maximise achieving a return-to-work outcome.
- Apply relevant rehabilitation counselling strategies and methodologies.
- Conduct cold canvassing and marketing of ‘job ready’ clients to potential employers utilising relevant jurisdictional incentives and schemes.
- Working with primary Consultant to ensure client has required job skills such as managing an interview, injury disclosure, negotiating salary/hours/duties etc.
- Complete case reviews with Primary Consultant to assess and realign goals and strategies.
- Maintain regular contact with Primary Consultant and to follow up when monthly allocated time is exhausted.
- Completing legislative specific reports where applicable.
- Maintain documented evidence of all secured interviews and placements.
- Proven experience working within a high-performance driven environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in Employment Services and the service delivery issues facing these organisations.
- Strong attention to detail with a result focused approached.
- Strong organisational skills and capacity to successfully manage competing priorities.
- Show initiative and work unsupervised.
- Well-developed ability to undertake research and to prepare, collate and organise data for reporting purposes.
- Ability to follow administration procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Current Australian drivers’ licence.
- Police clearance and a working with children check.
