The Role
As an Account Director, you will focus on driving growth within the Consumer Products & Retail sector, while managing and expanding relationships with key existing clients. You'll work closely with the Industry Director and product specialists to deliver strategic insights that support clients' success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across our data and segmentation solutions
- Managing and growing a portfolio of key clients, ensuring they extract maximum value from Roy Morgan's data
- Leading strategic conversations and workshops that link data to actionable outcomes
- Championing Helix Personas and other digital tools to address client challenges in media, marketing, and strategy
- Collaborating with internal teams to bring insights to life through tailored solutions
- Monitoring industry trends to identify new opportunities and inform innovation
- Providing regular reporting and account planning to support business growth
About You
You are a client-centric professional who is both commercially minded and passionate about data-driven storytelling. You love solving business problems, building relationships, and pushing boundaries with creative thinking.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in account management, business development or client services
- A background in market research, working in a research team in-house or with media or advertising agency in a strategy and/or data insight roles
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a knack for simplifying complex ideas
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of growing business
- Confidence in leading client meetings and delivering strategic recommendations
- An organised, self-motivated approach and a collaborative team mindset
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
