About the Project
Georgiou is proud to be part of the Tonkin Extension Alliance - a key infrastructure initiative that will improve connectivity and safety across Perth's north-eastern corridor. About the role
Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking a Civils Lead / SPE with relevant tertiary qualifications and experience to join our project-based construction team. The successful candidate will display strong technical skills in all elements of civil engineering particularly within civils, roads and bridges. The location is in the Byford region.

What you're good at:
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Senior Project Engineer in the construction industry that involves civils, pavement, roads and bridges.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client, project team and key stakeholder's concerns.
  • Strong ability to plan and coordinate efficiently
  • Strong ability to manage interphase with multiple trades, suppliers and subcontractor through design, fabrication and construction to expedite progress on the project.
  • Proficient in Co-ordinate resources to deliver on time and budget, while upholding a high-quality standard.
  • Proficient in cost control, earned value and forecasting for relevant work packages,
  • Excellent safety record and experience in coordinating and/or running toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices.
  • Tertiary education within the field of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

What you’ll do
  • Work with the delivery team, by managing interphase with multiple trades, suppliers and subcontractor through design, fabrication and construction to expedite progress on the project and regularly check in with the Section Leads to report on progress and any issues.
  • Coordinate and manage queries from suppliers, subcontractors and design consultants to optimisation design where feasible and prevent clashes.
  • Working with Suppliers and Subcontractors to expedite off site manufacturing in order to avoid construction delays on site.
  • Manage works in accordance with the Project Management Plan and client specifications.
  • Plan and Co-ordinate resources to deliver on time and budget, while upholding a high-quality standard
  • Managing cost control, earned value and forecasting for relevant work packages
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Participate in site meetings (toolboxes, pre-start, inductions and other health and safety requirements) and have a strong focus on personal and team safety through our "Safety is My Way" initiative.
