The Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the Perth based team under the leadership of well-respected Partners Jenny Thornton and Jehan-Philippe Wood.

The practice covers commercial litigation, contentious regulatory and investigations work.

The nature and size of the team will mean that you are heavily involved in all aspects of matters allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome whilst developing your professional skills and personal brand.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an energetic team on a wide range of varied and interesting matters, alongside a well-respected partner at a global, tier one, insurance litigation firm. You will have a strong litigation background, gained from private practice, and be able to point to your strong performance to date. Although not essential, you may also have insurance related experience.

We're looking for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team with the following experience:

  • General commercial litigation experience is a must, regulatory and investigations experience is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in building a rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business needs and with the assistance of the partner, actively developing these client relationships.
