Your New Role:
As the Product Manager, Enterprise you will support the delivery of strategic data capability and be responsible for the development, deployment, adoption, and performance of Remediation data products within AustralianSuper.
This includes leading the creation of comprehensive Data Products, obtaining accurate and complete data to identify remediation populations, applying remediation methodology, and building and running compensation calculators to determine member impact. The role requires extensive knowledge of administration and insurance products, experience in building and delivering multiple tools and practices, and familiarity with RG277.
In this role, collaboration with stakeholders is pivotal to develop and deploy data products that meet business needs and drive value in the Enterprise Domain. Success will contribute to the Fund's 2035 business strategy, resulting in the substantial improvements in outcomes for members.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop, lead and execute the strategy to introduce best practices to Remediation Management across the Fund.
- Identify source data to create straight through processing for new and existing tools
- Build, develop, test and create controls for remediation models for various trigger events to put Members in the position they would have otherwise been in had the failure not occurred.
- Develop a repeatable model that can be utilised to reconcile Member payments for all remediation to prove that every Member has been refunded that is in scope.
- Identify opportunities to automate the member communications process to create efficiency in communications sent to Members.
- Safely transition the Fund to straight through processing of payments to Members and Trustee Voluntary Payments to the ATO.
- As a senior member of the Data Services team, contribute to establishment of the function and development of its capabilities, and contribute towards uplifting the Fund's overall data capabilities and data risk posture.
- Proactively engage with colleagues across the Fund and contribute towards uplifting data management practices and the proper use of data to fully leverage its benefits.
- Lead initiatives to design, develop & deliver innovative data management solutions and improvement initiatives across allocated Data Domains. Conduct any required related activities including stakeholder management, change management and co-ordination and ensure timelines & milestones are met.
- Implement data management capability including data catalogue & business glossary, data definitions, mapping data lineage, identifying critical data elements, master and reference data management, performing impact assessments etc.
- Roll out the Fund's data governance policies and standards and ensure adherence to internal and external compliance obligations.
What You'll Need:
- Extensive knowledge of Superannuation and Insurance products (including underlying administrative processes to be able to act as both the subject matter & data expert simultaneously.
- Previously lead teams to deliver end-to-end remediation tools including member compensation models.
- Strong experience as a Senior Data Analyst or Manager in previous remediation environments in Superannuation, Banking, or Insurance, with experience in automating repetitive data management functions.
- Strong experience and expertise delivering data management outcomes in complex & technical projects & BAU environments.
- Strong understanding of RG277.
- Experience implementing technical processes and business logic to transform collected data into meaningful and valuable information which met the necessary quality, governance and compliance considerations for operational and business usage to be considered trustable.
- Strong understanding of databases and data structures.
- Proficient in usage of IDE's, database & data warehouse systems, metadata, data quality, master data and reference data management tools.
- Technical data skills
- Advanced skills in SQL-based querying of databases using joins, aggregations, and subqueries
- Intermediate skills in Python, DAX, PowerBI skill, data modelling & transformation.
- Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to communicate highly technical topics to non-technical audiences, ideally with direct exposure to regulatory reporting & APRA guidelines.
- Strategic thinking ability and strong collaboration skills with experience working with regulatory reporting, finance & technology teams to deliver scalable data and reporting solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs to data products.
