Project Overview

Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina,

Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of

Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.

Job Summary

The Reports Engineer will be assigned to the project full-time, taking direction from the project controls supervisor.

This role will be responsible for managing the development, coordination, updating, preparing and delivery of reporting required on the project that support decision-making and project oversight.

The role will require

  • interface with all functions and management within the project team including clients, contractors, subconsultants and vendors to gather timely inputs.
  • designing and maintaining reporting systems and databases.
  • creating dashboards and visualizations.
  • ensuring data accuracy and compliance with governance policies

Our expectation for this role is to have some experience with development and maintenance of PowerBI reports to be effective and efficient in the role.

This position is required to be a well-organized 'people' person with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • B.S. degree required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or Data Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably EPC/EPCM experience in Project Controls.

Required Knowledge And Skills

  • Technical proficiency: Especially in Power BI, MS Office, and general project controls systems.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset: Ability to interpret data and present it in a meaningful way.
  • Independence: Capable of working autonomously to meet deadlines and quality standards.
