The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Pricing and Commercial Analyst to join our team in this new role in Sydney. This is an opportunity to leverage your data-driven mindset and commercial acumen to drive strategic pricing decisions, optimize promotions, and uncover revenue-generating opportunities.

What You’ll Do:
Develop robust pricing models and analyse the impact of pricing strategies on sales, margins, and customer behaviour.
Collaborate with buying and category teams to deliver data-backed pricing and promotional plans that maximize profitability.
Evaluate the commercial viability of new product launches, range changes, and supplier deals through insightful analysis.
Produce compelling reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key trading metrics and performance indicators.
Identify opportunities to boost average transaction value, customer penetration, and purchase frequency by mining customer and basket data.

To thrive in this position, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in a pricing, commercial, or trading analyst role, preferably in retail or FMCG.
Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI, with a knack for distilling complex data into actionable insights.
A strong grasp of retail trading metrics and a commercially savvy mindset.
️ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively convey findings to senior leadership.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks with precision and proactivity.
