Project Manager with Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Experience -NV Clearance - ACT

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master / ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of agile ICT projects within a federal government environment. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and an in-depth understanding of government project governance and procurement frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of ICT projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with government standards and policies.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and coach teams on Agile best practices.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project progress reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior executive stakeholders.
  • Manage vendors through the full engagement lifecycle including approach to market, evaluation, contract negotiation, and delivery oversight.
  • Monitor project performance, manage risk, and ensure deliverables are achieved within budget and timeline.
  • Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and external partners to drive project success and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in successful delivery of ICT Agile projects within the public sector.
  • Scrum Master qualifications (CSM, PSM) and/or proven hands-on Agile delivery experience.
  • Strong capability in preparing and delivering executive-level project reports and updates.
  • Proven experience in vendor engagement and management, including procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, teams, timelines, and risks.
  • Solid understanding of Commonwealth Government procurement rules and delivery governance frameworks.
  • Active NV1 clearance, and 3 days from canberra office.

    • Desirable Criteria:

  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
  • Experience facilitating group discussions and workshops to drive outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of hybrid delivery models combining PMBOK/PRINCE2 with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar project tracking tools.
