Aurenne Mining is seeking a dedicated Safety/ Emergency Services Officer to join our team at the Mt Ida Gold Mine. This is a pivotal dual-role position on an 8:6 FIFO roster, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to both emergency response and site safety compliance within a supportive, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
- Providing advice and guidance on safety and related matters
- Incident investigations
- Conducting workplace inspections and identifying hazards
- Ensuring employees and contractors comply with safety policies
- Maintaining up-to-date safety documentation and emergency response plans
- Conducting audits and updating safety registers
- Providing first aid and emergency medical response as required
- Managing and inspecting emergency response equipment and vehicles are well maintained and ready for immediate use
- Managing and maintaining medical facilities (medical centre and first aid room)
- Coordinating emergency drills and incident response exercises
- Training and developing the site’s Emergency Response Team
- Managing return-to-work documentation and health clearances to ensure employees can safely work remotely under FIFO conditions
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role in mining
- Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent
- Certificate III in Mines Emergency Response
- Manual C Class driver’s licence
- Strong understanding of WA WSH Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to make effective decisions in rapidly changing situations
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment
- HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Combined Space Entry / Gas test
