About The Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic General Hand to join our team at the Altona facility. This is a hands-on, active role within a fast-paced workshop environment, supporting a variety of production and operational tasks.

You’ll be working alongside skilled tradespeople and technicians in a highly specialised engineering environment, where your attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely handling and moving work orders and components throughout the workshop
  • Coordinating the dispatch process, including wrapping and packing goods
  • Assisting in the preparation of parts before and after production
  • Performing general cleaning and workshop maintenance to maintain safe working conditions
  • Supporting tradespeople with various tasks as required
  • Carrying out local deliveries using company vehicles (as needed)

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid Forklift Licence
  • A current Driver’s Licence
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks
  • A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic

Previous experience in a workshop, warehouse, or manufacturing environment will be well regarded.
