Senior I&E (Process Control & Automation) Consultant Engineer

About the Company:

Our client has a strong pedigree delivering automation and electrical engineering services spanning design, drafting, project (installation/upgrade) delivery and maintenance. Their areas of specialisation include the development of PLC, SCADA and HMI, RTU and telemetry, as well as MES systems. The firm also provides support through expert advice and oversight for construction and installation works, plant commissioning and operator training, and ongoing engineering support. With growth of clients and projects we seek a senior I&E Engineer to support clients in Melbourne, Geelong and SW Victoria.

You will work with a close-knit team of professional engineers on client projects in industries ranging from FMCG to water, energy and other miscellaneous manufacturers.

Key responsibilities can include:

· FEED meetings on conceptual needs and engineering requirements.

· Providing process control system and equipment recommendations.

· Submitting quotes, costings with the support of the estimating team.

· Undertaking or signing off on design elements.

· Project managing installation through to commissioning at site.

· Interfacing with client’s engineering teams and other subcontractors as required.

· Ensuring the effective delivery of engineering projects, in time, in full, to budget and client specifications.

This role will suit an experienced electrical or instrumentation engineer who brings tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering (instrumentation major) and practical application through overseeing the management, maintenance, upgrade or new installations. You may have worked in-house for many years, have started as an electrician and moved over into Engineering – electrical trade moving to consultant/contractor, or an I&E Engineer with consulting engineering experience across a host of industries, project engineering or managing in EPC, or EPCM project remits.
