About the role:
A key role reporting to the Integrated Development Lead is responsible for influencing, coordinating and providing technical input into development planning and development activities across the teams portfolio, with the intention of maximising value for Origin's Integrated Gas business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates & owns “Life of Asset Development Plans” including optimised development phasing, appraisal scopes, and development concepts intended to mitigate risk and maximise asset value.
- Provides subsurface interpretations consistent with local and regional structural and depositional frameworks, geological and engineering datasets, and ensures these appropriately influence development planning across key focus areas.
- Supports technical assessments for key field & reservoir characterization studies intended unlock additional value through future development workstreams across the teams portfolio.
- Support Reservoir Characterisation Team to build and mainten static models that will be used to underpin development decsions, and ensure they are current best technical estimates.
- Closely integrates with other team members to ensure learnings from are incorporated into key focus areas ensuring technical consistency across the teams portfolio
- Cross-asset collaboration between the APLNG operated assets and non-operated assets to share learnings and overcome technical challenges.
- Contribute to the maintenance of shareholder and regulatory reporting compliance across their key focus areas.
- Provide input into and lead process improvement initiatives to ensure optimised ways of working within the team and across the business
What will you bring?
You will role model Origin’s values, be self-driven, with ability to be proactive and take initiative. A team player with ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people across levels, building positive, productive working relationships.
- 7+ years post-qualification experience working in asset development roles, preferably at least in part associated with coal-seam-gas hydrocarbon systems
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Geoscience
- Drive geological interpretation and develop conceptual models to inform project strategy.
- Lead and manage diverse development activities, including appraisal and development well programs.
- Conduct comprehensive resource and reserves assessments with a focus on value creation.
- Utilize analytical and evidence-based approaches for robust decision-making.
- Manage projects effectively and engage stakeholders, ideally from an operator viewpoint.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, leveraging strong communication and interpersonal skills.
