About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineers to join our project-based Tonkin Extension Alliance project across civil and structural sections of work. Your primary purpose will be to assist the project manager in fulfilling the contractual requirements and site targets across all project business functions.

About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineers to join our project-based Tonkin Extension Alliance project across civil and structural sections of work. Your primary purpose will be to assist the project manager in fulfilling the contractual requirements and site targets across all project business functions.
What To Expect In This Role
- Attend to the scope of work assigned with defined work methods and delivers the work in accordance with total project schedule, delivery of scope of works in accordance with total project schedule
- Maintain and update the contract program, including productivity unit and ensuring the timely notification of EOT’s or delays
- Monitor and review the project task financial outcomes including project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls
- Provide daily advice and support to field operations to ensure that daily targets are consistent with overall project targets
- Understand the obligations and rights under the head contract to identify, control, mitigate and report significant risks and opportunities
- Develop and retain people to produce high quality project outcomes
- Ensure project HSEQ objectives are set, shared and adhered to create an exemplary safety culture aligned to the values of ‘Safety is My Way’
- Build and create lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors to improve financial and productivity outcomes
- Acting at all times in the spirit of the Alliance working partners and follow the Vision, Purpose, Values of the project
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry
- Able to demonstrate prior forecasting experience
- Able to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills
- Must have skills to undertake planning/programming activities whether in Excel/Microsoft project/Primavera or other
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for site works
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of dealing QA requirements for site such ITPs, Lot conformance and MDR compilation, etc.
- Experience in coordinating and/or running toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders concerns
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Design Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry
- Able to demonstrate prior forecasting experience
- Able to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills
- Must have skills to undertake planning/programming activities whether in Excel/Microsoft project/Primavera or other
