A major Queensland Government agency is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of a modernised, cloud-based offender information system as part of a large-scale digital transformation program.
The Role:
As the Solution Architect, you'll play a critical role in delivering the new architecture for a web-based, mobile-accessible interface that supports data sharing, cloud integration, and DevOps best practices. You'll collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and technical leads to ensure alignment with government architecture frameworks and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain solution architecture and patterns for a modernised enterprise system
Produce architecture documentation including control flows, data models, and deployment topologies
Work with internal teams and vendors to implement Azure infrastructure and software stack
Support testing and security processes to ensure compliance with QGEA requirements
Guide architecture decisions across system design, integration, and delivery
Align solution with Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) frameworks
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in architecture roles across complex ICT environments
Expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, cloud migration, and .NET development
Strong knowledge of integration technologies and DevOps practices
Ability to develop and communicate architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with government architecture frameworks (e.g. QGEA)
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Desirable:
Postgraduate qualifications in IT or a related field
Public sector experience
