You’ll connect Queensland. We’ll connect you to an amazing career.
Queensland Rail stands on the foundation of true connection, encompassing the relationships we foster within our teams and the communities we serve across the state. For nearly 160 years, we've been instrumental in linking people and places, and now we invite you to contribute to our proud legacy and shape a brighter, sustainable future.
Your opportunity
We have a newly created, permanent opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking Supply Chain Planning Lead (AS7) to join our Supply Chain Transformation team, which provides specialised Inventory services and solutions to enhance business outcomes and drive streamlined supply of material and services to plan.
Based in Brisbane CBD, this role is responsible for translating Queensland Rail’s maintenance and asset strategies into a practical, integrated supply chain strategy. In daily operations, this role ensures that supply, procurement, and inventory planning activities are closely aligned with long-term maintenance schedules and asset lifecycle requirements. The Supply Chain Planning Lead drives supply chain decisions—from sourcing critical materials to managing supply-to-demand planning - ensuring they directly support Queensland Rail’s strategic objectives.
A key focus of the role is the development and application of Queensland Rail’s Integrated Business Planning and therefore supply to demand plans methodology, which synchronises supply chain and operational functions across the organisation. The Supply Chain Planning Lead will work in close collaboration with maintenance, finance, and operational teams to continuously refine forecasts, develop lean supply strategies, and optimise supplier performance in line with Queensland Rail’s operating model. Ultimately, the Supply Chain Planning Lead will ensure that the supply strategy remains fit for purpose, responsive to dynamic operational needs, and fully supports seamless service delivery and asset availability.
