About The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent – Integrated Planning, the Principal – Integrated Planning is a key member and influencer within both the Integrated Planning Team and BMA Mine Planning Lead Teams. You will build strong relationships with site planning and leadership teams, adding value by enhancing the quality of business decisions through data analysis and effective reporting of health metrics.
This is a Brisbane based role working Monday to Friday, offering flexible work arrangements.

About The Role

You will build strong relationships with site planning and leadership teams, adding value by enhancing the quality of business decisions through data analysis and effective reporting of health metrics.
This is a Brisbane based role working Monday to Friday, offering flexible work arrangements.
In This Role You Will
- Engage with operational teams and build relationships to identify, advise and evaluate productivity and value creation initiatives along with understanding and quantifying plan delivery risk.
- Oversee buffer and inventory management across the value chain with a particular focus on Raw Coal Inventory, Coal Uncoveries, and Blendable Inventory.
- Support the development, execution, and integration of the monthly SRF processes (Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Drill & Blast).
- Deliver monthly reporting requirements such as Time Usage Models, Dry Run Rates, Short Range Mine Plans ensuring both plan quality and timeliness.
- Enable and facilitate Compliance to Mine Plan processes in partnership with site teams, driving continuous improvement and value creation.
- Interpret, analyse and communicate information to advise executive level decision-makers on plan delivery risks, opportunities and mitigating actions available.
- Delivery of the annual two year budget and Life of Asset plan submissions with supporting analysis.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration through working with a number of stakeholders from operations, other functions including Procurement, Finance, Marketing and Engineering teams.
- Continuous improvement through the disciplined application of the BHP Operating System, and its standards, processes, systems and structures.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional engagement and effectively influence throughout multiple levels of the business.
- The ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deliverables across various stakeholder groups including senior leadership.
- Ability to think strategically and strong commercial acumen.
- Strong action orientation and outcomes/delivery focus.
- Experience in coal planning at an operational level, inclusive of production forecasting and a working knowledge of coal quality.
- Broader experience in mine planning at a coal operation is very advantageous, as is operational experience.
