- Provide excellent clinical assessment and therapy for patients in inpatient rehabilitation

- Based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Royal Park Campus
The Occupational Therapy team consists of over 100 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community-based services across a range of specialties. The team is a cohesive group of professionals who support and encourage professional development and career growth. The Occupational Therapy (OT) department is aligned with the broader Allied Health service.
Your New Role
- Provide excellent, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning for patients on the inpatient rehabilitation ward
- Supervise and educate junior occupational therapists, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students
- Excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and handover
- Actively lead and participate in Allied Health quality improvement initiatives and research
- You have hospital experience with a collaborative working style
- You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
- You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence based practice
- You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
