Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a key opportunity to contribute to the sustainment of one of Australia’s leading maritime platforms.
What’s Involved
- Lead and develop the Cape Class sustainment engineering team while managing contract plans and documentation to ensure effective delivery of engineering support services.
- Ensure ongoing certification and configuration management of the Cape Class fleet, including control of baseline changes and integrity of temporary modifications.
- Provide timely, accurate engineering advice and technical instructions to support operational requirements.
- Lead the execution of engineering investigations to resolve issues efficiently and maintain fleet performance.
- Coordinate Cape Class engineering meetings and maintain strong, effective communication with ABF technical stakeholders.
Essential
- Hold an Engineering Degree with the capability to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Minimum 5 years’ sustainment engineering leadership experience, preferably in Defence, with strong knowledge of asset and configuration management systems.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical risk management, safety systems, complex problem solving, team leadership, and effective communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard engineering software.
