About The Organisation

Our client is a long-standing and values driven organisation committed to making a positive social impact through inclusive employment initiatives. With a strong footprint across the region and ongoing internal growth, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their collaborative and high performing finance team.

The role

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a team, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing profit and loss statements, journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with the preparation of financial reports
  • Managing assigned venues, liaising directly with venue managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Preparing quarterly BAS submissions
  • Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations

The Candidate

  • 3 years experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar
  • Accounting degree
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise urgent work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and examples of prior stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience in Definitive is highly desirable
