We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant (STC) who wants to apply their knowledge and skillset in enterprise web solutions based on the Daon technology stack.

This role will be located in Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.

You will have hands-on responsibility for TrustX and IdentityX implementation, and for educating, guiding and advising our clients in best practices deployment of Daon technologies


The successful candidate will be:


  • Willing and able to act autonomously under the direction of a project manager and/or Principal Technical Consultant
  • Experienced in the development of scalable business solutions for web-based users on mobile and desktop
  • Have the capability to clearly articulate appropriate methodologies for deployment of Daon technology and SDK’s, to an audience grounded in the development community for Identity Assurance and Authentication
  • Able to help Daon’s customers to deploy and integrate TrustX and IdentityX technology by providing robust and scalable solutions, built to handle the performance demands of millions of end users.


Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Development (coding and unit testing) of product artefacts as required by Daon’s customers, using a variety of backend technologies – including Java, Python, HTML5, REST API Services, JSON
  • Mapping of customer requirements onto the design and deployment of successful TrustX and IdentityX implementations
  • Documentation of design and design decisions, plus delivery of all solution collateral
  • Coordination with other team members, to ensure that project deliverables are on time and meet or exceed client requirements
  • Identification of risks, issues and other challenges, with recommended resolution to Clients, Principal Consultant or Project Manager
  • Timely communication with internal and customer stakeholders
  • Provision of technology deep-dive, and assistance with complex deployment, UAT and go-live scenarios
  • Supporting the Field (Direct & Partner) Sales teams, by educating prospective customers about Daon's products. This includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, and follow up on all customer related issues
  • Distilling customer project experience and feedback into practical suggestions for product improvement
  • Other duties will be assigned as the role evolves and the business develops.


Required - Training & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ relevant developer experience
  • Strong working knowledge in enterprise web development
  • Proficient in Python, Java and Javascript/Typescript and 3rd-party frameworks (eg. Spring Boot, React, Vue, Angular, Dagger)
  • Familiarity with working in a SaaS environment, especially AWS
  • Experience working with version control systems such as GIT, SVN
  • Strong API web service design and development experience, including an understanding of enterprise system integration concepts (reliability, scalability, transactionality, security etc.)


Nice to have - additional skills:


  • Working knowledge of cloud based platforms such as AWS
  • Developer knowledge of enterprise relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Experience in information security, biometrics, Public Key Infrastructure is a major plus
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of web UI design
  • Experience with web servers and application servers such as Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere
  • BPMN and Business Process Modelling.
  • Image Processing and Capture systems.
