LOGISTICS SUPPORT OFFICER

The role

As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Logistics Support officer is responsible in ensuring that all contractual supply chain obligations are delivered efficiently by driving effective outcomes that compliments and respects the internal and external environment.

Further, the successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Inventory management, administration, and reporting.
  • Tracking and control of Government Furnished equipment including data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist with the control and management of Export control items, including ITAR and ensuring compliance with Defence Trade Controls.
  • Defence ERP control and utilisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the Supply function and their processes and providing a structured approach relating to problem definition, procedural requirements analysis and definition, and subsequent process/systems/tools design.
  • Identify, record, and manage all supply chain risks
  • Provision of routine supply chain services, procurement services, stock assessment, codification, and cataloguing services as required.
  • Manage and administer subcontract and supply agreements outcomes


Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight and will be considered for this role.

About You

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering logistics services to meet the requirements in the Australian Defence Industry – Essential
  • Previous experience working within the Australian Defence Supply Chain system – MILIS / SAP
  • Previous experience with Defence Export Controls and ITAR - desirable
  • Previous experience in managing Government Furnished equipment or asset management
  • Tertiary qualification within Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operation Management


As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or can gain one.
