Your opportunity
As Project Architect, you will plan and conduct architectural projects of a complex nature in order to meet client requirements. Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and documentation for individual projects or self-contained stages of larger projects.
In this role you will:
The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Architecture and be registered in accordance with the Architects Act in NSW. With prior experience working in a senior architectural or technical role, you will bring strong expertise in design software and a solid understanding of CAD/BIM standards. You will have comprehensive knowledge of planning regulations, commercial and legal considerations, and experience managing project teams, consultants and sub-contractors. Strong communication and people management skills will ensure your success in this role.

Your opportunity
As Project Architect, you will plan and conduct architectural projects of a complex nature in order to meet client requirements. Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and documentation for individual projects or self-contained stages of larger projects.
In this role you will:
- Ensure that the design complies with all regulatory requirements, including the NCC and all Mirvac fitness-for-purpose standards
- Assist the Development Manager in obtaining all approvals
- Ensure staff comply with Mirvac Code of Conduct
- Implement all project specific QMS and sustainability standards
- Carry out sufficient site inspections to ensure design intent is met
- Check and approve all team member time sheets, including Interior Design, Graphic Design and Presentation and contract staff
- Responsible for project milestones, review of critical packages and elements, and undertake required design sign off
- Chair Design and Consultants Coordination meetings
- Coordinate appropriately with consultants and sub-contractors
- Ensure staff account for productive time
- Brief, program and monitor the work of the Interior Designers and Graphics Designers to meet overall project requirements
- Oversee the design and documentation for individual projects or self-contained stages of larger projects
- Contribute to the establishment and sign-off of the brief with the Development Manager and monitor the design to the brief throughout the project
- Assist in the briefing, tendering and commissioning of all Design Consultants
- Monitor and report monthly on program and Design costs to budgets using standard pro-forma reporting documents
- Maintain the Design Change Register and obtain appropriate approvals
- Apply a deeper understanding of Architectural principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
- Manage, monitor and improve the application of CAD/BIM standards
- Establish and monitor detailed resource program
- Prepare a Design Fee Budget based on the delivery program and as directed
- Ensure that the design is within budget and documentation is delivered to program in a cost effective manner
- Liaise with Design Director regarding resource requirements
- Monitor and report on Design Consultant costs to budget and approve their invoices
