The Role

Due to growth, we are interested in speaking with senior practitioners with at least 8 years’ experience in family law. You will work alongside accredited specialists and industry-leading Partners in Melbourne, including John Mazzotta, Damian Harriss, and Sally Baker, with added support from our Family Law teams nationally.

The role will see you representing high net worth clients based both locally and overseas on a wide range of matters including divorce, property settlements, parenting disputes, financial agreements, child support, and family violence. You will also act in both alternative dispute resolution (e.g. mediations and settlement conferences) and litigated disputes, primarily in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have at least 8 years’ experience practising in family law. You will have in-depth knowledge of family law principles, procedures, and regulations. You will be working with clients at their most vulnerable state and as such, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to display empathy and build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior lawyers.
