About The Role
We're hiring a Head of Engineering to lead our next chapter of growth
As we scale across new markets and deepen our presence in existing ones, we're looking for a strategic and hands-on engineering leader to join our executive team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing med-tech company, combining technical depth with the leadership and structure of a true scale-up environment.
You'll work across engineering, collaborating with data, product, design, and security—setting the vision, building scaleable systems, and driving cross-functional collaboration. The first 6 months will focus on high-impact zero-to-one work, followed by the exciting challenge of scaling teams and infrastructure globally, including a major expansion into the US.

What You'll Do
- Own the technical vision - Take ownership of our engineering architecture and set the technical direction for our platform
- Build engineering excellence - Implement and enforce world-class engineering standards across all teams and deliverables
- Lead through rapid growth - Drive projects and technical initiatives during our high-growth phase, ensuring quality delivery at speed
- Collaborate extensively - Work closely with our Head of Product as your primary partnership, plus engage with executive stakeholders across product, finance, marketing, and strategy
- Develop technical talent - Lead and mentor engineering talent at all career stages, growing capabilities within the team and identifying opportunities to expand as we scale
- Drive hands-on technical work - Stay technically involved with architecture decisions, technical deep dives, and direct engineering contributions
- Champion quality-first delivery - Establish productive delivery processes that prioritise incremental, high-quality releases over big-bang deployments
You are an experienced, hands on, engineering leader who combines deep technical capability with strong leadership skills. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and have a genuine passion for building exceptional software.
We'd love you to have
- Engineering leadership experience: You're either an Engineering Manager ready to step into a Head of Engineering role, or a recently appointed Head of Engineering ready for a significant growth opportunity
- Technical expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AWS, JavaScript, and Node.js, including leading high-performing teams in fast-moving, product-led environments.
- Growth mindset: The ability to thrive in scaling tech businesses — SaaS experience is a plus, but what really counts is adaptability, drive, and being built for growth.
- Exceptional communication skills: Ability to set clear, unambiguous standards and work effectively with distributed teams, including asynchronous communication
- Quality-focused approach: Genuine passion for engineering excellence and building high-quality software that grows with us as we scale
- Ambition - Passion for developing leadership capabilities and growing with a rapidly scaling technology organisation
- Multi-market experience - Ideally experience supporting technology across multiple markets or regions
