As the Sr. Solutions Engineering Director at NetApp, you will play a critical role in driving technology adoption, sales execution, and business growth in ANZ. Job Responsibilities
- Provide management oversight to Solutions Engineers and managers to drive strategy and goal attainment. Participate in strategic planning sessions with sales management team quarterly and annually.
- Partner with the Regional Vice President of Sales and Technical Leadership team to drive country-wide sales-related initiatives within our Enterprise, Public Sector and Commercial Accounts
- Liaison between APAC Technical Leadership/Local Technical Resources
- Establish short-term and long-term goals and performance metrics in line with corporate objectives and achieve revenue generation.
- Empower sales teams and serve as an evangelist to enable the partner ecosystem.
- Orchestrating supporting resources, Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure overall customer implementation and adoption of solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior-level customers and partners, providing valuable perspectives on market dynamics, emerging technologies, and business opportunities.
- Act as coach, mentor and educator to SE Managers and District Managers within the Region.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to meet departmental goals.
- Act as an escalation point for pre-sales technical issues that arise in the territory.
- Participate, where appropriate in sales campaigns.
- Stay knowledgeable of market trends/customer behaviour/competition behaviour
- At least 8+ years of experience as a technical leader in Storage/Infrastructure industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively influence executive-level employees within and outside of their function, and/or major customers.
- Proven experience leading a technical pre-sales team in ANZ.
- Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions including Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Support, and Product Development.
- Strong understanding of Data management and Cloud technologies and competitive offerings in the marketplace.
- Proven capability to work as a key member of the leadership and contribute to strong business growth.
- Ability to convey and analyse information clearly as needed to help customers make buying decisions.
- An excellent understanding of how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
- The ability to hold key CXO relationships within major accounts.
- Experience evangelizing technology, including Social Media platforms, and events as well as experience with media and analysts in ANZ.
